The last season of S3DCAMPUS just ended, with very positive results. This training course – organized by Avance Rapide Communication and sponsored by the EU's MEDIA program – enabled participants to tackle the creation of a film in stereoscopic 3D, from writing to the final grading, paying homage to Alfred Hitchcock... indeed, the hands-on workshops had trainees draw their inspiration from a scene in Dial M for Murder, filmed in 3D in 1954!

On December 18th, the Parisian company Alioscopy received the 2012 Ile de France Award for Innovation in the presence of Yves Lapierre, Managing Director of INPI (National Institute for Industrial Property). Alioscopy, represented by its Managing Director Pierre ALLIO, offers a range of high quality 3D lenticulars screens (21,5'' to 47'') the public to enjoy 3D images without glasses.

 Volfoni is pleased to again be an official partner of the 6th annual Dimension3, to be held in Paris, France, June 13th-15th. At Dimension 3, Pretend LLC will formally announce its powerfull open beta program for Stereoid, a new software tool that automatically enhances stereoscopic shots and lets you adjust depth long after a scene is shot. The Stereoid beta can be downloaded from the Pretend site at beginning June 29, 2012.

  The French retailer Post Logic will be at Dimension 3 to present the latest 3D developments regarding Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Softimage 2013 and the Flame which celebrates its 20 years. The new beta version of Flare will be also demonstrated...
