The international competition for S3D and 4K contents!
In order to showcase the excellence in new images as a whole, Dimension 3 launches a 4K category in 2013: this format will be the next filming standard, and as such it must be given a high visibility, thus encouraging progress in quality and innovation!
An international event dedicated to stereoscopic 3D for 7 straight years, Dimension 3 Festival aims at promoting new talents in the independent film industry, as well as directors and producers...
How is the Festival organized?
Dimension 3 Festival is a professional event gathering over a hundred competing programs*. The winners, in addition to enjoying international visibility, receive a "Dimmy Award" trophy as well as prizes (equipment or services) given by our sponsors and partners.
A jury featuring high-profile members of the audio-visual community makes a first selection of 28 programs in 3D and four programs in 4K. The nominated films then compete at the award ceremony, held on the Forum on June 20 and gathering 400 professionals from all around the globe.
Open to all programs in 3D and 4K, and accepting submissions in a wide variety of S3D formats (except anaglyphs), Dimension 3 Festival is a major international showcase for these formats.
Categories in 2013:
• S3D fiction (feature / TV content / short film)
• S3D documentary
• Animated S3D (one-off or series)
• Live filming (concert – sports – event)
• Special formats (advertising films - corporate films – graphical overlay – music video – theme park – museum)
• Student film
A Grand Prize for S3D and a multi-category 4K Grand Prize will be awarded at the end of the award ceremony.

How the Festival works
A jury, made up of high-profile members of the audio-visual community, makes a first selection of about 30 programs (2 to 4 films per category). The nominated films then compete at the award ceremony, held on the Forum on June 14 and gathering 400 professionals from all around the globe. The winners receive a "Dimmy Award" trophy and prizes such as equipment or services (software suites, lab work, leased hardware…), thanks to our sponsors and partners.
The nominated films will be screened on June 20 in the cinema that hosts the Festival's award ceremony (the address and schedule will be posted online in early June).
